Standard Cleaning vs Deep Cleaning: What's the Difference and Which One Do You Need?

4 min read

Standard Cleaning and Deep Cleaning are two levels of the same residential service, not two different services. Both are defined on one page: TissuCare's residential cleaning service. Deep Cleaning includes the complete Standard Cleaning checklist plus a package of more detailed tasks. This guide explains what each level covers, what it suits, and how to decide which one to request.

What Standard Cleaning is for

Standard Cleaning is the base package: routine cleaning of a home in normal use. The checklist covers general areas — dusting accessible surfaces, vacuuming accessible floors and carpets, mopping hard floors, cleaning mirrors, and emptying normal household trash — plus the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces at their routine level. That means countertops, the sink and faucet, the stovetop surface, toilets, the tub or shower, furniture exteriors, and normal high-touch areas.

Treat it as upkeep. It suits a home that is already reasonably clean and needs its surfaces returned to their usual condition. Because it assumes normal use, Standard Cleaning is the level that can be booked one-time or recurring — weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, with the recurring discount applying from the second cleaning.

What Deep Cleaning adds

Deep Cleaning starts from the complete Standard checklist and adds a defined package of detailed work aimed at accumulated soil and the areas routine cleaning usually skips:

  • detailed baseboards, doors, door frames, switches, handles, corners, edges, and window tracks;
  • reachable vents, grilles, and light fixtures, plus under and behind easily movable furniture;
  • in the kitchen: more detailed backsplash cleaning, grease and buildup around the stovetop, cabinet fronts and handles, edges and corners, and accessible areas under and behind small movable appliances;
  • in the bathroom: detailed grout, shower tracks, soap and buildup removal, behind the toilet, fixtures, accessible mineral buildup, and baseboards;
  • more detailed removal of accumulated dust and buildup in accessible areas.

Deep Cleaning is a one-time service. If a thorough reset is what you are after, a common approach is to book Deep Cleaning once and then keep the home maintained with recurring Standard Cleaning.

What neither package includes

Some tasks sit outside both base packages. Add-ons — the inside oven, inside fridge, inside kitchen cabinets, inside microwave, interior windows, blinds, and a standard balcony — are priced separately on the service page and are not automatically included in Deep Cleaning. Laundry, full wall washing, heavy furniture moving, exterior or high-access windows, post-construction cleaning, and carpet or upholstery extraction cleaning are outside this service. If one of these matters to you, select the add-on or mention it in your request so TissuCare can review it.

When Standard Cleaning is usually enough

Standard Cleaning tends to be the right level when:

  • the home is cleaned regularly and mainly needs its weekly or monthly upkeep;
  • you are looking for recurring service rather than a one-time reset;
  • there is no visible accumulated buildup — no heavy grease around the stovetop, no soap residue in the shower, no dusty window tracks;
  • the home is regularly maintained rather than needing significant attention.

When Deep Cleaning makes more sense

Deep Cleaning tends to be the better match when:

  • the home has not been professionally or deeply cleaned recently;
  • the home needs significant attention rather than routine upkeep;
  • you can see buildup in the places routine cleaning leaves behind: baseboards, door frames, window tracks, shower tracks, grout, or the area around the stovetop;
  • you want a one-time, more thorough pass before switching to recurring Standard Cleaning.

How to choose

Start with the home's current condition. If it is regularly maintained and mainly needs routine upkeep, Standard Cleaning is a reasonable starting point. If it has not been professionally or deeply cleaned recently, needs significant attention, or has visible buildup in normally neglected areas, Deep Cleaning may be more appropriate.

The request form asks about this directly: it asks how you would describe the home's current condition, including whether it has been professionally or deeply cleaned recently. TissuCare reviews unusual scope or condition before confirming the final price and appointment, so the level you select is a starting point, not a locked-in decision.

Seeing an estimate for your home

The cleaning calculator on the General Cleaning page lets you choose Standard or Deep Cleaning, enter the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, pick a frequency, and add only the extras you need. The displayed amount follows the current pricing rules. Open-ended layouts, unusual conditions, or heavily soiled homes may require TissuCare confirmation. Submitting the form is a request with your preferred date and time — the appointment is confirmed after review.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Standard and Deep Cleaning?

Deep Cleaning includes the complete Standard Cleaning checklist plus a defined package of more detailed tasks for accumulated soil and normally neglected accessible areas. Standard Cleaning is routine cleaning of normal-use accessible areas, while Deep Cleaning adds detailed work on baseboards, doors, window tracks, grout, buildup around the stovetop, and similar areas.

Can I get Deep Cleaning on a recurring schedule?

No. Deep Cleaning is a one-time service. Standard Cleaning can be scheduled one-time or recurring — weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. The first cleaning is at full price; the recurring discount starts with the second Standard Cleaning.

Are extras like the inside oven or interior windows included in Deep Cleaning?

No. Add-ons such as the inside oven, inside fridge, inside kitchen cabinets, inside microwave, interior windows, blinds, and standard balcony are priced separately and are not automatically included in Deep Cleaning.

Does submitting the calculator form book my appointment?

No. Submitting the form sends a request with your preferred date and time. TissuCare reviews the scope and confirms the appointment before service.
